Which parks have playgrounds?
The following town parks feature playground equipment maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department: Nathaniel Davis Park, Edwards Field, Hambleton Park, Coffin Pond Recreation Area and the former Longfellow School site. Playground equipment maintained by the Brunswick School Department is also installed and available for public use at the following schools in Brunswick: Jordan Acres School, Coffin School, Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School and the former Hawthorne School.

Which parks have trails?
The following town properties feature trails maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department: Town Commons and Greater Commons, Cox Pinnacle, Maquoit Bay Conservation Lands, Coffins Ice Pond, Coffin Pond, Pejepscot Dam Recreation Area, Sawyer Park, Lishness Field, Androscoggin River Bicycle Path and Bay Bridge Landing Interpretive Wetland Park.

Where are there groomed cross-country ski trails where I can ski locally?
The Parks and Recreation Department maintains groomed trails at the Mere Creek Golf Course at Brunswick Landing (the site of the former Brunswick Naval Air Station) off route 123, and also at Crystal Spring Farm, which is located along Pleasant Hill Road in Brunswick on land owned by the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust. Information about recreation programs and activities can be found on this website, at our 220 Neptune Drive offices, or by calling 725-6656.

…find out if a recreation program or activity is cancelled or postponed?
Cancellations are posted on our main page. For weekend cancellations and those prior to 8:00 a.m. during the week please call the Recreation Center at 725-6656. Once prompted by the automated answering sytstem press “5” for current cancellation messages.

…register to participate in a recreation program or activity? Can I register online?
To register you must come in to the Recreation Center at 220 Neptune Drive or mail in your registration form along with appropriate payment to the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department,220 Neptune Drive, Brunswick, Maine 04011. We currently do not have the ability to accept registrations online and do not permit registrations by phone. Registration forms can be downloaded on the corresponding program pages on this website.

Facility request forms can be picked up at the Recreation Center, 220 Neptune Drive offices, or the form can be downloaded here.
