The Annual Father-Daughter Valentine Ball has been a favorite community event for years in Brunswick.  The dance is typically held on the Saturday before Valentines Day each year.  The Dance was originally held at the Recreation Center until it became so popular that the Recreation Center was not large enough to hold all who wanted to attend.  It has been since held at a variety of different locations over the years, including Fort Andross, the former Atrium Inn and Convention Center, the Old Brunswick High School, the former BNAS Field House and most recently the Harriet Beecher Stowe School.

The event is open to Fathers and their Daughters, grade 1 to age 12 or grade 6, residing in Brunswick or elsewhere.  The dance features DJ music to please all ages and runs from 7:00 pm until 9:00pm.  In past years in addition to dancing there has been a teddy bear door prize raffle, candy, punch, cakes, and a chocolate heart and rose for each daughter.

The dance is a tremendous amount of fun and work for a group of volunteers and staff.  The Brunswick High School Key Club and Bowdoin College student volunteers have been an invaluable source of help through the many years the Dance has been held.

Here are some photos of some past Dances.
