Oversize Container Information

The maximum size for a trash can for curbside collection by the Town of Brunswick is 32 gallons. Containers larger than 32 gallons may be loaded too heavily but most importantly, are too bulky for our driver to lift and empty (each refuse truck has only 1 person to do the driving and lifting with each driver collecting over 500 stops per day). Please be sure to only use containers that do not exceed 32 gallons in size and please do not put a lot of heavy materials in the containers (maximum weight per container is 40 pounds). Due to a number of injuries to our collection workers we ask for everyone's cooperation in complying with the above rules.
