Budget InformationGeneralThe Town of Brunswick operates on a budget and fiscal year of July 1 to June 30. In accordance with the Charter of the Town of Brunswick, the Town Manager is required to annually submit a budget to the Town Council by May 1st. At least ten days prior to adoption, the Town Council is required to hold a public hearing on the budget. The Town Council is then required to adopt a budget by June 15th. The budget adopted by the Town Council constitutes the appropriations to the several departments, offices and purposes specified therein. The budget adopted by the Town Council also identifies the basis for the property tax rate. Municipal Budget Documents The Town's most recent budget documents can be viewed by selecting one of the links below. These documents only contain details pertaining to the municipal services portion of the budget. Copies and information relating to the educational services budget of the Brunswick School Department can be obtained by contacting the Superintendent of Schools at www.brunswick.k12.me.us.
