Engine 4 is a 1954 Ward LaFrance, it has a 750 gallon tank and a 750 GPM pump. Engine 4 served in Brunswick until 1977 when it was replaced, it was then sold to the Harpswell Neck Fire Department where it continued in service for a number of years. When Harpswell retired Engine 4 it was purchased by Harry Crooker who returned it as a donation to the Brunswick Fire Department. Engine 4 is now used in parades and awaits complete restoration. Note that Engine 4 sports the traditional red paint of the fire service, Brunswick made the conversion to lime green in the mid seventies.
