CELEBRATE THE FOURTH OF JULY SAFELY

The Fourth of July is a time for celebration. Use caution to ensure a fire-safe holiday. The Brunswick Fire Department reminds you that fireworks are not toys...they can cause deaths, blinding, and other severe injuries. Don't play with fireworks of any kind. With the exception of sparklers fireworks are illegal in the State of Maine. Stay away from others playing with fireworks and report violations to the police or fire department. A sparkler, usually considered safe, burns at a very high temperature and ignites clothing easily. Keep them away from young children and closely supervise older children when using sparklers. Enjoy the Fourth safely by watching a professional fireworks display in your area.
