The Public Works Department of the Town of Brunswick is presently seeking candidates for the openings of Mechanic (Class B CDL required) and Laborer. Public Works Mechanic - (Click on the job title to obtain a more detailed job description) Mechanic: Experience or combination of formal training and experience in trucks and construction equipment including diesel engines; air brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems. Must have a valid Class B-CDL driver’s license and provide own mechanic’s tools. Preferred candidate will have three to five years experience, and the ability to acquire a State Inspection license. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. The pay range for this position is $14.8951 to $18.1213 per hour, depending on experience. Public Works Laborer - (Click on the job title to obtain a more detailed job description) Laborer: The selected individual in this position will be required to work with road maintenance crews; perform traffic control and flagging duties, as well as operate light power equipment and hand tools. Requirements: must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather; must have a valid Class C Driver’s License with a good driving record. The full pay range for this position is $11.3638 to $13.8251 per hour for a 40-hour week. Both positions offer a generous benefit package including medical, life, and disability insurances, as well as multiple retirement plan choices, paid vacations, sick time and 13 paid holidays.
