Seasonal Parks Laborers (please click on position title for job description): The Parks & Recreation Department has openings for seasonal parks laborers. The positions are 40 hours a week (non-benefit eligible). Some weekend work is required. The openings are for the following time periods: April 5 – November 5, approx.11:30am to 8pm (with seasonal adjustments; runs to 1 hour after sunset) April 5 – September 3, 6:30am to 3pm, Tues. – Saturday April 19 – October 29, 6:30am to 3pm Duties include: Mowing, upkeep and daily cleanup of a variety of park areas; baseball field prep, painting, weed trimming, securing park gates, trash pickup, etc. Requirements: Must be able to operate small power hand tools and riding mower; able to lift and carry 50 pounds; must have license and good driving record. A thorough background check will be conducted for final candidates. Steel-toed work boots are required. Hourly pay range is $9.54 to $10.15 per hour, DOE.
