Maintenance Worker/Mechanic Technician - Parks and Recreation Department (Click on the job title to obtain a job description) Town of Brunswick is seeking applicants for the position of Maintenance Worker/Mechanic Technician with the Parks and Recreation Department. The candidate for this position will be responsible in assisting with the overall maintenance of Parks and Recreation facilities to ensure safe use by the public. This individual will also be responsible for performing skilled work as a motor vehicle and small engine repair technician with a range of Parks equipment. Strong experience with turf maintenance is required. Starting rate for this 40-hour per week position is $13.759 to $14.883. A thorough background check, including driver history, criminal and credit will be conducted with the final candidate. Minimum Qualifications: Experience or combination of formal training and experience in trucks and construction equipment including diesel engines; air brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems. Must have a valid Class B-CDL driver’s license and provide own mechanic’s tools. Preferred candidate will have three to five years experience, and the ability to acquire a State Inspection license. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position and includes a generous benefit package including medical, life, and disability insurances, as well as multiple retirement plan choices, paid vacations, sick time and 13 paid holidays. The pay range for this position is $14.60 to $17.77/hr., depending on experience.
