Firefighter/EMT (Intermediate or Paramedic): (Please click on the position title for the job description).  PLEASE NOTE:   Important documents to include with your application and for the process are listed below the posting: 

Applications are currently being accepted to establish an eligibility list for the position of Firefighter/EMT (Intermediate or Paramedic).  Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be currently licensed as a Maine EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic by March 1, 2012.  A copy of your driver’s license and EMS license must be attached to your application materials.  Leading candidates for this position will be required to successfully pass an in-depth background check, as well as psychological and pre-employment (medical) examinations. 

The Town of Brunswick offers an excellent benefit package including options for health, dental and/or life insurances, short-term disability, retirement plan choices, educational reimbursement, paid vacations, sick time and 13 paid holidays.  The full pay scale ranges for a 42-hour week are: 

                                    EMT-I             $627.51 – $763.19

                                    EMT-P            $716.48 – $851.29 

All candidates will be required to undergo the Brunswick Fire Department physical agility test.  (A CPAT will not be accepted).  A practice physical agility test will be conducted on Saturday, March 10, 2012.  The written exam and final physical agility test will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2012.  Candidates will be notified of site location and times following application.
