This page contains selected job postings for the Town of Brunswick. Unless otherwise noted, a Town of Brunswick employment application is required for all jobs listed on this page. Per Town Ordinance (Sec. 12-14 Applications); the Town will only accept applications for positions when there are vacancies to be filled or when an eligibility list must be established (The Police Department is the only exception to this provision. The Police Department will accept applications at all times and will hold them for a one-year period).  (Ord. of 6-5-95, § 2(D))  Applications and job descriptions may also be obtained from the Human Resources Department, (brick building directly behind Town Hall), or by calling 207-725-6653 extension 204.

Seasonal Parks Laborers (please click on position title for job description):

The Parks & Recreation Department has openings for seasonal parks laborers.  The positions are 40 hours a week (non-benefit eligible). Some weekend work is required.  The openings are for the following time periods:

April 5 – November 5, approx.11:30am to 8pm (with seasonal adjustments; runs     to 1 hour after sunset)

            April 5 – September 3, 6:30am to 3pm, Tues. – Saturday

            April 19 – October 29, 6:30am to 3pm

Duties include:  Mowing, upkeep and daily cleanup of a variety of park areas; baseball field prep, painting, weed trimming, securing park gates, trash pickup, etc.

Requirements:  Must be able to operate small power hand tools and riding mower; able to lift and carry 50 pounds; must have license and good driving record.  A thorough background check will be conducted for final candidates. Steel-toed work boots are required.  Hourly pay range is $9.54 to $10.15 per hour, DOE.  Applications are required and are available at the Town Manager’s Office, 28 Federal Street.  Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.  Important note: All job openings are subject to available funding and future budget considerations.  The Town of Brunswick is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
