BRUNSWICK COMMUNITY HOUSING The Brunswick Community Housing Coalition is a group of individuals and organizations who have come together to address affordable housing in response to the recent housing inflation. The Coalition's goal is to ensure opportunities that address and meet the housing needs of people of every income and situation: low income, first time homebuyers, elderly citizens, town service providers (firemen, policemen, teachers, nurses, etc.) and to preserve the traditional diversity of people in Brunswick. The group has worked since mid 2002 to develop the information below, has held three public forums to receive input from the community, and published a interim State of Brunswick' s Housing: 2003 Report as a newspaper insert in the Brunswick Times Record (which is included as Appendix C in the Action Plan). Upon Town of Brunswick Council Adoption, the coalition plans to, as the next step, reconstitute itself and begin work on the immediate action items. The Greater Brunswick Housing Corporation has voted to support this effort through its official non-profit status. Below is information on the project produced to date: Action Plan for Housing in Brunswick : 2003 If you would like more information, please contact any committee member or Frank O'Hara at Planning Decisions, P.O.
