Old High School Implementation Committee
Last updated: July 9, 2007 The Old High School
Implementation Committee was charged to recommend to the Town Council: (1)
a Master Plan for the Old High School property (including the Armory
property owned by Bowdoin College), (2)
a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the adaptive reuse of the portion of
the building constructed in 1937 and
possible future uses of the other wings, and (3)
its preferred proposal from the ones received to do such work and
proposed course of action. The committee completed task 1 and 2. On June 28, 2007 the New Elementary School Building Committee voted to recommend the Old High School site as the preferred location for a new school. If endorsed by the Town Council this precludes the completion of task 3 of the committee. On July 6 the Committee sent this letter to the town Council: The results of the Committee's work are as follows: Below is other information related to this project. AGENDAS AND MINUTES
