Kathy Wilson was born in Brunswick and raised in the family home on Pleasant Street. She graduated from Brunswick High School and the Plus School of Business. In her youth Kathy worked for her father in a lunch stand, spent many years driving a lunch truck in the area, plus taught riding and bred, raised, trained and raced Standardbred horses.
Kathy is the owner of Kathy Wilson's Pet Grooming. She has been active in several dog clubs and currently serves as President of the Lewiston-Auburn Kennel Club, participates in the statewide Animal Welfare Advisory Council and advocates for animal welfare issues in the state capitol. She also has served on a couple of town committees. Throughout her adult life she has served as an activist and speaker for equal rights issues and is a past board member of SAGE Maine.
In her spare time, Kathy trains and shows dogs, enjoys cycling, is an avid reader, and for many years sang with Women in Harmony. She also enjoys spending time with family.
