NOTICE TO BIDDERSTown of BrunswickMARC Phase 1A
Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Brunswick Town Hall at 85 Union St., Brunswick, ME 04011 until2:00 p.m. (local time), Thursday, April 27, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The work site is located at 220 Neptune Drive, Brunswick, ME.
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of constructionnecessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the Drawings and described in these Specificationsincluding, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Earthwork, layout, grading, and drainage for eight (8) asphaltpickleball courts, a perimeter stone dust walking trail, asphalt parking lot renovations and internal concrete sidewalks.It should be assumed for bidding purposes that construction can start as early as May 15, 2023, but the start date isflexible, and will be substantially complete (including the skate park pad and asphalt paved pickleball courts ifweather permits) by December 15, 2023 and final completion (pickleball court surfacing and balance of project) byJune 15, 2024.
No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Eachbid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with theInstructions to Bidders.
All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealedenvelope. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid withinforty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid securityin the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount ofthe contract price.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal EmploymentOpportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804).
Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard allnonconforming, non-responsive or Conditional Bids.
