[Note: the portage distance is approximately ¾ mile.]

This 3.4-acre park is owned by the Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) and is a collaboration among MDOT, the Town of Brunswick, and Brookfield Renewable Energy.

Location:  Mill Street Canoe Portage is located on Mill Street (Route 1), a short 350’ from Pleasant Street when traveling on Route 1 north.

Hours of operation: Dawn to dusk.

Note: Park is only open during periods when floatation barriers across the river are in place to prevent downstream travel towards the hydroelectric dam.
